 As per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India and under the SVEEP initiative, the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of Ramgarhia Polytechnic College conducted multiple awareness programmes from August to November 2025.

These events aimed to enhance electoral understanding among students and to motivate youth to participate responsibly in the democratic process.



 

MONTH-WISE ACTIVITY DETAILS

 

AUGUST 2025 – Introduction to Electoral System

The month of August focused on building a foundational understanding of India’s electoral process.
Major Highlights:

Awareness talk on “Why Voting Matters”

 Introduction to election procedure and voter responsibility
 ECI-approved awareness videos shown to students
 “My Vote My Right” pledge by first-year students

Message: “Every informed voter strengthens India.”




 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Voter Registration Awareness Drive

 

In September, a campus-wide voter registration awareness campaign was conducted.

Key Points:

 

Guidance on online registration (NVSP portal)

Awareness on Form-6 for new voters
Help-desk for query resolution
Poster-making competition on “Power of a Vote”
Display of informational charts and pamphlets

Message: “Register today to decide tomorrow.”


OCTOBER 2025 – Ethical Voting & Democratic Values

 

October was observed as Ethical Voting Month under SVEEP activities.
Activities Included:

 

Talk on importance of unbiased and ethical voting

Group discussion: “Role of Youth in Democracy”
Campus awareness rally with handmade posters
Slogan-writing activity promoting fair elections

Message: “Your vote is a responsibility, not a favour.”








NOVEMBER 2025 – Digital Awareness Session (Video-Based Learning)

 

In November, a Digital Voter Awareness Session was organized to help students understand the voting process using modern digital tools.

Highlights:

 

Screening of Election Commission educational videos

Digital presentations on the step-by-step voting procedure
Awareness on the importance of secure, independent voting
Interactive Q&A session to clear doubts
Students created short digital posters/messages on "Responsible Voting"

Message: “Technology can educate, but the vote is your power.”

The Electoral Literacy Club successfully conducted four months of impactful activities, ensuring that students understood the importance of democratic participation and the value of responsible voting. The college remains committed to promoting electoral awareness and strengthening the democratic spirit among youth.
